29 May 2018 – Amman/Jordan: Generations For Peace hosted a Ramadan Iftar event, combining its annual General Assembly Meeting with a celebration of some of its most valued stakeholders. The event, held yesterday under the patronage of HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, Generations For Peace Founder and Chairman, and Princess Zeina Al Feisal, included speeches from the organisation’s President, Dr. Mohanned Arabiat, and its CEO, Mark Clark, highlighting 11 years’ worth of progress and successes of the organisation both in Jordan and abroad and celebrating recent programme expansions.
Key stakeholders of the organisation, including the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth, Jordan Olympic Committee, UNICEF, the European Union, GIZ, Samsung, Manaseer Group, Al Raya Group, and Ro’ya TV, were invited to attend the event. Joining them were focal points and teachers involved with Generations For Peace from across Jordan, who, along with those partners present, were honoured by HRH Prince Feisal to commemorate their work with Generations For Peace over the last year.
Two videos were also shared with event guests. The first featured the work of Generations For Peace with children with disabilities in Jordan’s Nashatati Programme, providing for them a safe space in which to build relationships and engage with one another in exciting activities. The second centred on the Nashatati Programme overall, which is currently undergoing expansion to impact students in approximately 200 schools across the Kingdom, using sport and arts to inspire youth to build peace and transform conflict in their communities.
