11th October 2017 – Amman, Jordan: Generations For Peace has signed a memorandum of understanding with Roya TV, one of the leading television channels within the kingdom. As a media partner for Generations For Peace, Roya will shed light on the work of the organisation within Jordan and increase awareness of the youth-led volunteer programmes aiming to reduce conflict within communities. The partnership will increase awareness of the importance of youth engagement to build cohesive and resilient communities in Jordan.

The partnership agreement signing ceremony took place at the Generations For Peace headquarters in Amman. Both Fares Sayegh, head of Roya TV and Dr. Mohanned Arabiyat, President of Generations For Peace discussed the importance of affirming a unique bond between two Jordanian entities that strive towards positive engagement with their communities.

Dr. Mohanned said, “Both Generations For Peace and Roya share similar values. These include youth leadership, community empowerment and responsible citizenship and this partnership will allow both entities to further expand their reach and continue to build on their vision for Jordanian youth.”

Roya TV will interact with different components of Generations For Peace programmes throughout the duration of the partnership, providing coverage from the field and interviewing volunteers and participants in order to share their personal experiences.
