Generations For Peace is extremely committed to field research, programme monitoring and evaluation, to drive our own learning and greater innovation, quality, impact and sustainability.

To facilitate, advance and promote collaboration and exchanges between the practitioners and academics engaged in conflict transformation, Generations For Peace established its research arm, Generations For Peace Institute, in 2010.

The Generations For Peace Institute comprises full time staff based at Al Hussein Youth & Sport City in Amman, Jordan. The organisational structure of the Institute comprises four units reporting to the Director of Institute:

Monitoring and Evaluation:

• Responsible for monitoring and evaluation of all Generations For Peace programmes, and identification of best practices in monitoring and evaluation in conflict transformation and peacebuilding.

• Providing monitoring and evaluation services to other peacebuilding organisations.

• Liaising closely with other Institute units, as well as with all Generations For Peace Departments.

Knowledge and Education:

• Responsible for tailoring monitoring and evaluation, and research and development findings and recommendations for different audiences, and crafting educational and training materials for peacebuilding stakeholders.

• Liaising closely with other Institute units, as well as with all Generations For Peace Departments.

Research and Development:

• Responsible for identification of research topics and researchers and conducting research both directly and collaboratively.

• Producing recommendations on best practices.

• Liaising closely with other Institute units, as well as with all Generations For Peace Departments.

Community Outreach:

• Responsible for provision of research grants and scholarships, partnerships with academic and research institutions, and with practitioners from the conflict transformation and peacebuilding community.

• Liaising closely with other Institute units, as well as with all Generations For Peace Departments.
