The second session of the morning was centered around evaluation.

For Generations For Peace, evaluation is “understanding what happened and why, and planning improvements”. Just like monitoring, evaluation is integral to successful planning, implementation and improvements of your programmes.

Generations For Peace recommends an approach called participatory evaluation, which brings together a sample of everyone involved in the programme (target group, beneficiary community, key stakeholders and GFP volunteers). These representatives come together for a full day of focus groups and a large group discussion, to share, to reflect, to learn, and to plan together.
