Abdelatif Ghatasheh

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer

Abdelatif joined Generations For Peace in July 2020 as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer. In this role, he supports the creation and design of innovative quantitative and qualitative monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks and tools. He is also responsible for supporting the development and implementation of quality assurance, accountability, and learning frameworks within the Programmes Department and reviewing, analysing, and presenting M&E data to ensure the accessibility, reliability, and timeliness of the data.

Originally from Jordan, Abdelatif earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Al al-Bayt University. He takes pride in his work in the Humanitarian sector and his contribution to positively changing the world.

Before joining GFP, Abdelatif was working to support the M&E of emergency response teams that provide various humanitarian interventions to people affected by the Syrian Crisis within Syria and Jordan. He has also worked with programmes that support the resilience of refugees who came to Jordan from Iraq, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen, as well as the hosting communities. His previous experience includes assisting in the creation of M&E systems based on project assessment and design, supporting project implementation and management decision-making with evidence-based reporting, and promoting a common understanding and the reliable practice of M&E.

Abdelatif is a fan of Japanese Anime and likes to cook. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and spending time with his family and friends.
