Adeeba joined Generations For Peace in October 2018 as a Programmes Intern through the Lazord Fellowship Programme. In this role, she supports the implementation of GFP’s programmes in Jordan, while liaising with lead Delegates/Pioneers regarding the design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of their programmes.
Originally from Jordan, Adeeba graduated from the Hashemite University with a degree in Counseling Psychology. Her passion of working with people and creating safe spaces led her to explore opportunities that allowed her to give back to her community. She began facilitating and training in the field of human development, conducting numerous workshops on several topics, including community youth empowerment, the art of dialogue, and communication skills.
Before joining GFP, Adeeba volunteered with Questscope as a caseworker with a programme that focused on child protection in Jordan. She was also selected to represent Jordan at the MENA Regional Conference on “Inclusion and Exclusion: Challenges and Risks” in 2018.
In her spare time Adeeba enjoys writing and volunteering with programmes that offer care for children with special psychological needs.
