Senior Programmes Officer
Ahmad serves as a Senior Programmes Officer, a role in which he oversees a number of programmes in Jordan, including the Maharati Programme. His responsibilities include overseeing the programme design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of various programmes in Jordan, in order to maximise positive change and sustainable impact in local communities where he led and oversaw the implementation of activities within youth centres across Jordan.
Ahmad began his journey at Generations For Peace as an Events Volunteer in 2010, which led him to pursue a career in peacebuilding at the organisation. A huge advocate for volunteerism, Ahmad participated in several activities throughout his university years, including distributing food during Ramadan and volunteering in the Jordan parliamentary elections.
Ahmad is continuously inspired by the organisation’s focus on youth as leaders of positive change. Through his experience in this field, he has developed his negotiation and conflict transformation skills. He continues to seek opportunities to build his capacity at Generations For Peace, a place he considers his second home.
Ahmad earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Bedfordshire. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Jordan with a Bachelor of Arts or Science in Accounting in 2013. A sports fanatic, Ahmad’s favourite activities are football and CrossFit, and he always starts his day with at least one hour of sports.
