Anood joined Generations For Peace in March 2021 as a Programmes Coordinator. In this role, she is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Maharati Programme in Jordan, including organising trainings, meetings, and events for the programme. She also helps prepare monthly reports for donors and partners and works closely with the ILD Department to support Monitoring and Evaluation efforts.
Originally from Jordan, Anood earned her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Al-Balqa’a Applied University. She was also selected to represent the Kingdom of Jordan in the 2009 Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (KL-YES) Programme and spent a full academic year as an exchange student studying in the United States whilst living with an American host family. This experience helped shape the person she is today as it taught her the importance of being independent as well as practicing active tolerance and appreciating differences.
Anood has an extensive background working with youth and holding various leadership positions. Before joining GFP, Anood served as an Internship Programme Coordinator with the American Chamber of Commerce – AmCham, where she helped students to develop soft and employability skills by conducting various trainings and assisted companies in institutionalising internship programmes within their entities. She also has previous experience as a Career Counselling Coordinator for Hashemite University students, KL-YES Programme leader, and Youth Steering Committee Member of the US Department of State’s Exchange Programmes.
Anood loves to travel and even visited 32 states in one year. She looks forward to a time when she can travel safely again. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, learning about different cultures, spending time with her family, and giving back to her community.
