Aya joined Generations For Peace in February 2020 as a Programmes Coordinator. In this role, she supports the implementation of GFP’s Maharati Programme in Jordan by leading on the Programme’s logistical needs. She also guides and mentors Maharati’s lead Delegates and Pioneers on the Programme’s design, implementation, activity session designs, and monitoring and evaluation.
Originally from Jordan, Aya earned her Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Marketing and Social Media from the Princess Sumaya University for Technology. She previously worked with multiple startups in the Digital Marketing field before deciding to change her career path.
Before joining GFP, Aya worked as a Programmes Officer with the UNICEF-Jordanian Ministry of Youth Programmes Support Unit. This role allowed her to work closely with the Maharati Programme, contributing to and supporting the implementation of the programme in youth centres across Jordan.
In her spare time, Aya enjoys reading, travelling, and sightseeing.
