Aya Alsmadi
Field Coordinator
Aya joined Generations For Peace in April 2017 as a Field Coordinator. In this role, she supports the implementation of various GFP programmes across Jordan. This includes providing logistical support, monitoring programme implementation to ensure highest quality, and coordinating various workshops and trainings as needed.
Originally from Jordan, Aya holds a Diploma in Tourism Management from Al-Balqa’ Applied University. She has volunteered with numerous organisations, including Peace Corps. She has also worked on preparing and implementing several initiatives, including: Peace Singer, Productive Kitchen, Ajloun’s Tourist Mural located at Ajloun’s Centre for Young Women, You Are the Most Beautiful, and Learning by Play.
Before joining GFP, Aya worked in education, data entry, and peer training at the Najamah Foundation, an affiliation of Ajloun’s Centre for Young Women. She also volunteered with the centre for five years as a Programmes Coordinator. She has other experience as an Assistant Unit Leader and Scout Unit Leader with the Jordanian Ministry of Youth and as a Field Coordinator with Mercy Corps on the “Nobadar” Project.
In her spare time, Aya enjoys exploring everything that is new, including travelling around the world and trying foreign food.
