Human Capital Assistant
Bayan Alkhatib joined Generations for Peace in August 2022 and currently serves as a Human Capital Management Assistant. In this position, Bayan supports the efficiency and quality of the Human Capital Management (HCM) team by supporting the recruitment and selection process in preboarding, onboarding, and talent management. Bayan also helps the team in tasks related to performance management processes, employee benefits and wellbeing, training, development, and ensuring compliance with HCM Policies and Procedures.
Originally from Jordan, Bayan completed her studies in Alberta, Canada, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, with a minor in Human Resource (HR) Management from Grant MacEwan University. Her HR studies focused on strategising HR to link people to management and development practices and linking HR functions to long-term business goals. She conducted various research in HR, highlighting the importance and impact of HR practices on organisational growth, workplace culture, and overall organisational performance. Her Business Management studies included strategic management, business consulting, project management, and leadership skill development.
Throughout her professional career, Bayan’s main priorities were introducing and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in HR and general management practices. She has previously worked with TD Bank and the Government of Canada and has collaborated with many international and Canadian-based organisations to lead projects aimed at achieving operational excellence.
Bayan enjoys reading, sports, travelling, getting to know different cultures, socialising, and interacting with people.
