Clara Louvel
Development and Partnerships Manager
Clara joined Generations for Peace in December 2021 as a Senior Grant Proposal Officer. In this role, Clara supports the design and implementation of GFP’s fundraising strategy with an emphasis on proposal development, review and coordination. She also helps to identify, research and engage prospective donors and partners to secure new and increased funding for Generations For Peace programmes, research and capacity development.
Originally from France, Clara holds a bachelor’s degree in Management, Communication and Translation (FR/EN/SP) from the Institute Of Intercultural Communication And Management (ISIT Paris), where she also pursued her master’s degree in International Strategies and Diplomacy. Clara also holds another master’s degree in Political Science from Pantheon-Sorbonne University in Paris, where she majored in Development and Humanitarian Aid studies. During her studies, Clara wrote various papers, exploring transitional justice dynamics in Morocco through the Equity and Reconciliation Commission, and conducting research on minority rights in Afghanistan post the 2004 Constitution.
Before joining Generations For Peace, Clara worked as a Business Development Officer for the Jordanian non-profit organisation Business Development Centre (BDC). Through her career path, she worked for the French Embassy in Jordan, the European Commission Directorate for Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO), the United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) and the NGO Plan International.
When not in the office, Clara can be found playing basketball or swimming. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, learning Arabic, and exploring new countries.
