Haneen joined Generations For Peace as Programme Coordinator in 2016. Rising to Programmes Officer, Haneen’s role entails coordinating and supporting peacebuilding activities for both the Nashatati and Maharati Programmes. She also supports the implementation of the programmes and volunteer certification in order to maximise positive change and sustainable impact in the target communities.
Haneen is from Jordan and graduated from University of Jordan with a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education. Before joining Generations For Peace, Haneen worked at Mercy Corps for two years where she gained experience supporting community projects for Syrian refugees in Jordan, with a particular focus on children with disabilities.
Haneen’s work experience includes a position as teaching assistance at Masar Child Development Services Centre, an organisation that provides educational and therapeutic services for children with disabilities. Throughout her university studies, Haneen also took part in several voluntary activities with other centres with a similar focus. During this time, she held the role of volunteer trainer where she was responsible for empowering children through education as well as providing a life skills workshop.
Haneen enjoys meeting new people and exploring different places and cultures. She loves children and is passionate about working with them.
