
Husam Nino
Programmes Manager
Husam joined Generations For Peace (GFP) in 2022 and currently serves as a Programmes Manager.
He is responsible for the overall strategic planning for GFP Programmes in assigned thematic clusters, leading teams in robust technical design, budgeting, development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of cost-effective, innovative, high-quality GFP local and international programmes. Additionally, he is responsible for establishing, developing, and nurturing partnerships with donors, satellite offices, and local partner organisations.
As Programmes Manager, he works closely at the strategic level with all GFP departments to ensure the development and capacity building of programmes’ team members, guarantee high-quality development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation of programmes, budget development and tracking, and the dissemination of evidence-based research findings and enhancement of donor recognition and visibility and provides quality of evidence and information to showcase impact.
Originally from Jordan, Husam holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Yarmook University in Jordan.
Throughout his work with IOM-UN and various INGOs as a Programme Manager and Team leader, Husam has over twenty years of experience leading programmes and operational activities across different thematic areas, including Conflict Mitigation, WASH, NFI, Cash for protection and Migration Management. This has also allowed him to work with varying donors, including but not limited to USAID, ECHO, OCHA, and the Dutch and Canadian Embassies.
Husam enjoys reading, sports, and travelling in his free time.
