Jadranka Stikovac Clark

Senior Advisor and Institute Director

Jadranka is the Senior Advisor and GFP Institute Director. Prior to her officially joining the organisation in 2008, Jadranka contributed to development of Generations For Peace’s concept by sharpening the organisation’s focus on its programmatic and research missions.

Once in the Headquarters, her work spanned across the areas of curriculum and programme development and implementation, and organisational capacity building. Lately, she is focused on the research into the impact Generations For Peace and other organisations are making in communities affected by various forms of conflict.

Jadranka’s professional interests are driven by her personal background and passions. Bosnian by nationality, she had first-hand experience of the devastating imprint that conflict and violence leave on individuals and communities. That experience, combined with her studies in medicine and international relations equipped her for work with major international development and humanitarian emergency relief agencies in Europe, Africa, and Asia. Also interested in sport, her sport management background brought her to work with the International Olympic Committee, where she enjoyed developing institutional relations with 204 national Olympic committees affiliated to the Olympic Movement.

Jadranka is passionate about sport, international relations, organisational theory and behaviour, social innovation and entrepreneurship, technology for social change – and chocolate.
