Leen Serhan

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer

Leen joined Generations For Peace in January 2021 as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer. In this role, she supports the creation and design of innovative quantitative and qualitative monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks and tools. She is also responsible for supporting the development and implementation of quality assurance, accountability, and learning frameworks within the Programmes Department, as well as reviewing, analysing, and presenting M&E data to ensure the accessibility, reliability, and timeliness of the data.

Leen holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the German Jordanian University. She has also completed her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the same university, where she had the opportunity to study abroad in Germany and attend the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS). During her time in Germany, she also interned and worked as a researcher with BMW HQ within the Project Management Department.

Before joining GFP, Leen was working as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at Jordan River Foundation (JRF). During her three years with JRF, Leen worked closely on projects focused on community empowerment, youth resilience, women empowerment, as well as child protection. She feels privileged to have the ability to work in the humanitarian field and help others.

Leen has spent most of her life in the MENA region, but has never missed an opportunity to travel and explore. She has visited many countries and lived in different cities, such as Munich, Germany and Birmingham, England. In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports, spending time outdoors, and mostly playing the Oud.
