Senior Media and Communications Officer

Noor joined Generations For Peace in 2019 as a Communication Officer, then recently promoted to Senior Media and Communications Officer. Her responsibilities include leading and managing the implementation of the Media For Peace Programme and managing media relations and content for the programmes department.

Noor is from Jordan. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Conservation Science under the faculty of Architectural Conservation from the Hashemite University and earned her Master’s degree in Journalism and New Media from the Jordan Media Institute.

Noor’s previous work experience includes working with Al Mamlaka TV, the first public service station in Jordan as an Investigative Journalist, with the British Broadcast Corporation (BBC) as a Broadcast Journalist, with Partners for Good as a Copywriter, and with the Jordan Media Institute as a Research Assistant.  Nour has a long experience in the field of journalism and media, as she worked as a journalist and editor for several news agencies and local news websites.

In addition to the experience Noor gained working with TV stations, local news websites and Arabic speaking British ones, she has received advanced media training through the Norwegian Media Centre in Fredrikstad and other trainings in media agencies in Oslo, Norway.

Noor is passionate about working in the non-governmental sector. She has conducted numerous media, communications and Social Media Management training sessions, the last organized by USAID.
