Rawaa Moumar

Research and Outreach Coordinator

Rawaa joined Generations For Peace (GFP) in November 2023 and currently serves as a Research and Outreach Coordinator at the Generations For Peace Institute (GFPI).  

In her role, Rawaa coordinates the execution of research and outreach efforts conducted by GFPI, playing a key role in project design, streamlining research tools, conducting analyses, and overseeing databases that track peacebuilding trends and stakeholders. She is dedicated to fostering seamless coordination and effective communication within the academic sphere, research institutions, and think tanks. 

Rawaa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies and Literature from the Hashemite University. Rawaa, an alumna of the Lazord Fellowship programme, assumed roles as a Researcher and Project Coordinator at the WANA Institute and as a Research and Studies Specialist at the Royal Scientific Society, delving into the realm of human security.  

Her contributions extend to publications centering on peace, security, refugees, and women’s empowerment. Notably, Rawaa has led the implementation of projects dedicated to the prevention of violent extremism, countering hate speech, and fostering intercultural dialogue. Her reach spans across local and international collaborations in the West Asia – North Africa region, with a specific focus on Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Europe.  

Off the clock, Rawaa shifts into her role as a mom, rediscovering childhood alongside her son. She’s also a movie enthusiast and enjoys losing track of time within the pages of a good book.
