Yazeed joined Generations For Peace in August 2018 as a Programmes Coordinator. In this role, he has supported the Nashatati Team in Jordan and international programmes in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. He is responsible for contributing to the implementation of the GFP Certification Programme and the Cascading Programme in day-to-day communications and logistical efforts; assisting GFP Institute in planning and conducting field research visits in Jordanian schools; and contributing to the preparation of progress reports, briefings, and updates of Delegate and Pioneer Programmes.
Originally from Jordan, Yazeed has always been passionate about supporting those who have been forced to flee their homes to escape violent conflict. Prior to joining GFP, he served as a volunteer at the Kawar Youth Committee, ensuring that the funds raised from events were directed to charitable purposes. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Marketing & Social Media from Princess Sumaya University for Technology and a Master’s Degree in International Management From University of Bath with Merit, he held the position of Project Manager at the Arab Student Society, where he organised several events – including fundraisings, talks, and activities – to promote Middle Eastern and Arab culture, among other student societies.
When he’s not in the office, Yazeed can be found working out, playing basketball, and skeet shooting. Ever since studying abroad, he has loved to make friends from a variety of different backgrounds, and has translated an interest in politics and historical events into a passion for bettering his community in whatever way he can.
