Zaid Abu Awad

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Zaid joined Generations For Peace in August 2018 as a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer. His role is to support the M&E team, designing and implementing M&E activities of all Jordan Programmes, processing M&E data collection and analysis, preparing Programmes Evaluation reports for executive summaries and thought-pieces based on evaluation reports, and supporting GFP’s donors’ evaluation reports.

Originally from Jordan, Zaid has about 6 years of experience in the M&E field in both development and humanitarian contexts. He has worked in International Orthodox Christian Charities, Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MOPIC), Millennium Challenge Corporation, and Aramex. He has also participated in evaluating an array of projects funded by international donors such as World Bank, USAID, and various UN agencies. Zaid has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Jordan and is a member at Jordan Development Evaluation Association / EvalJordan.

Zaid prefers to spend most of his time with family. During his free time, he enjoys farming and watching as green areas expand more and more. In the future, Zaid plans to travel around the world and discover new places and cultures.
