Programmes: Nashatati (Sport For Peace), GFP Clubs (Sport and Arts For Peace), Maharati (Sport and Arts For Peace), Youth RESOLVE (Advocacy For Peace, Dialogue For Peace)
Generations For Peace has been active in Jordan since the organisation was founded in 2007. The country is home to our Headquarters, and communities across all 12 governorates benefit from taking part in our programmes that engage children, youth, and adults with a variety of peace-building tools, from Sport For Peace to Arts-, Advocacy-, and Dialogue For Peace.
In addition to the challenge of violence in schools, the influx of Syrian refugees into the country has strained already overburdened structures and services, resulting in increased tensions and conflict between refugees and the host communities in which they live. Generations For Peace programmes, including Nashatati and Maharati, which are expanding to reach students in every public school and youth centre across the Kingdom, address these conflicts and more through unique activities that engage members of each community, providing opportunities for youth leadership and promoting peace building.
