22 June 2014 – Amman, Jordan: Generations For Peace has been officially granted charitable
tax-exempt status in Jordan. The decision issued by Cabinet ensures that donations made by
individuals and organisations in Jordan, are tax deductible.
HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, Founder and Chairman of Generations For Peace Inc.
underlined the significance of the Cabinet decision: “This is a huge boost for our existing donors
and partners and we hope it will also encourage more individuals and organisations to support
Generations For Peace. Their support is needed for our programmes in Jordanian communities,
schools and universities, which promote youth leadership, community empowerment, active
tolerance and responsible citizenship. The tax deduction is a great incentive, and with more
support we can reach more people and have even greater impact.”
Generations For Peace has also been awarded “Gold” status – the highest possible – by the
GuideStar Exchange. This is a leading symbol of transparency and accountability. The
GuideStar Exchange is an initiative designed to connect non-profits with current and potential
supporters, and the award of Gold status highlights the transparency and good governance for
which Generations For Peace is known.
